While at the European Surf Film Festival and UK Surf & Skate Expo 2026, Dylan Graves traded the stage for a few waves with the local grom squad. After 10-year-old Harley invited him to join, Dylan happily jumped in for a surf off the harbour wall.

Surf’s pup! Huge congratulations to Rippin’ Rosie the Labrador, our very own World Dog Surfing Champion! Accompanied by her human, Steve, Rosie was the most decorated athlete at this year’s championships, taking home an impressive four titles.
She won the Large / Extra Large Dog category, the SUP category, the SUP Tandem Human/Dog category, and was crowned Spirit of Dog Surfing Overall Champion. And as if all those trophies weren’t enough, Rosie also won a one-month supply of dog food.

Earlier this year, Dane Reynolds and U.S. team rider Dimitri Poulos rolled into the 44th annual Rincon Classic for the Pro Invitational and put on a proper show. Dimitri took the win in the division, while Dane did what Dane does best, drawing wild lines and surfing with that unmistakable style that still turns heads every time he paddles out. The event also had a special family moment, with Dane sharing a few waves alongside his son Sammy, competing there for the first time.
Also, did you know that Dane has a podcast? Tune into the new StabMic, a weekly-ish talk show on all things surf, featuring the world’s best, hosted by Dane and Stab Mag’s Dooma Fahrenfort.
“You can’t wait for perfect days in Scotland” Gabriel Noble decided to go on a strike mission to chase some waves in the middle of an endless rain storm at home.
Luca Vuillermet claimed his first GWA Wingfoil World Tour podium, finishing in third place at the opening Surf-Freestyle stop of the 2026 season in Leucate, France! After more than 10 semi-final appearances and in a strong international field of riders from 12 countries, Luca broke through when it counted to secure his spot on the podium in challenging conditions and consistent light winds.

Maxime Chabloz, our kiteboarding and freeride skiing powerhouse, has officially qualified for the 2027 Freeride World Tour! After a tough 2025 season marked by difficult runs that ultimately led to relegation to the Challenger Series, Maxime spent the past year battling his way back stop after stop. A pretty incredible comeback for the 2022 world champion, who is the proof that determination always pays off.
Dylan Graves, a new member of the MANERA family, and Tim Latte went on one heck of a strike mission deep into the Arctic Circle. Their film, “pretty FAR NoRtH; Norway”, takes us on their journey to score waves despite the insane conditions: 3.5-hour days. Polar nights. Frozen tundra. This is the beauty…and the brutal reality, of surfing in the Barents Sea.

A Conversation with South African Pro Surfer Brendon Gibbens
Cowabunga, Cape Town and the What Youth years.
“Brendon Gibbens is the most polite surfer on planet earth. Years ago when I met him, he came into our office and was so kind and unassuming I figured he was merely a family friend of Vissla team manager Corban Campbell. By the end of the meeting I put it together and we watched some clips of Brendon. Mind blown. “That’s you?” I think I asked him.
From that moment on, Brendon was in. He become part of the What Youth generation, bringing an enthusiasm, skillset and accent none of us could replicate. He always maintained his kind, unassuming demeanor…until he hit a dance floor — where he dominated. Stories of his solo dancing made their way around the world and he’s maintained his status as one of the most likable professional surfers of all-time and his technical forehand air games remains top notch. He was a star in Kai Neville’s Cluster and Joe G’s Strange Rumblings and will always be one of our favorite people.”
“He has a new video called Cowabunga out and you must go watch it below. Cape Town is beautiful and Beeg still has it. It was a pleasure to catch up with him and I thought I’d share.
Travis Ferré: So first things first — Cowabunga. How did you land on that title?
Brendon Gibbens: Going back as far as when Dillon and I made The Dill & Beeg Project, I’ve always liked silly quirky titles. The videos have kind of a serious tone because it is still my livelihood, I guess, but I’m just trying to find the balance between taking the whole process seriously but also having fun with it and not being too serious. So Cowabunga is what I came up with [laughs].”
“What’s your day-to-day look like? You’ve been back [living in Cape Town] for a while now, right?
Yeah, I left Costa Mesa almost four years ago now. It’s insane how time goes by. Surfing still takes precedence over everything. My folks run a guest house here which I help them with, and I have a few projects of my own that I dedicate time and effort towards. But primarily surfing still takes precedence. I’m still with Monster Energy, Manera, Octo. There’s a cool crew of youngsters here that inspire me to surf too.”
