We’re stoked to announce 14 year old @dusty.bruhwiler has joined team MANERA!

Dusty has been chasing waves since the age of three, growing up on the beaches of Vancouver Island with surfing in his blood. Living off Tofino’s rugged coast, he thrives in the icy waters of Cox Bay, welcoming the challenge of cold conditions with a thick wetsuit and a smile.
Inspired by his dad @raphbruhwiler, Canada’s first pro surfer and a legend in the country’s surf community, Dusty skillfully balances progression with fun. At just 14, he has already logged countless hours in the ocean and loves to share the stoke with friends and family.

Cash Souter is an Outer Banks grom with a passion for surfing, skating, and protecting the ocean. Cash started competing in 2020 and quickly made a name for himself with his constant stoke and willingness to charge hard on every wave.
Ryan Leopold is all about chasing barrels and keeping it real, literally. A core member of the REAL Watersports crew, Ryan is the go-to guy when it comes to testing surfboards, creating content and sharing his feedback with the community.
The most important aspect of a MANERA wetsuit is probably the way it is designed. A wetsuit should fit your body, not the other way around.

That’s why we design ours on a 3D body, ensuring every panel follows the natural curves of the body, and therefore a perfect fit. Our wetsuits deliver warmth, durability, comfort, and a fit that performs.

The End of the World won the Audience Award at the International Feature Film Competition of the Brest Surf Film Festival!
Three of the athletes featured in the film – Ian Fontaine, Yann Quilfen and Malo Jouanneau – were in Brest to attend the showing of the movie as well.
No. 1 Local Adventures

We have been encouraging our athletes to make the most of their own backyards and homespots, to show that you sometimes don’t need to go far to have fun.
Luckily, they’ve been keen on taking us all along for the ride on their local adventures.
This month, Sanna, or shall we say “a coastal creature of habit”, went on a surf trip worthy of a BBC nature documentary. Watch with the sound on.
Over in California, Luca spent the night by one of his favorite spots to make sure he would be the first one in the water the next day.
No. 2

Congratulations to María Catalina Turienzo, a local athlete from Argentina, who finished fourth in the Open Trophy ranking of the 2025 Formula Kite European Championships in Türkiye.
No. 3

Ian Fontaine and his surf club team 29hood have become the new 2025 French Interclub Champions! This title earns them a place to represent France and Brittany at the Interclub World Championships, which will take place in Australia in early 2026.
Congratulations also to the club’s second team, which included Malo Jouanneau, who finished fifth!

Since Rippin’ Rosie and her human are now part of the local MANERA U.S. team, we might seriously need to start thinking about a Hot Dog Magma line. What do you think?
One thing is for sure, she’s scoring a lot more than we are over here in the Mediterranean.
The very first “OFF THE LIP” Canadian groms surf circuit is here, located in Tofino, British Columbia! Here at MANERA, we are passionate about supporting youth in their surfing, progressing their skills and knowledge through competitive surfing, mentors, friendships, and more!
Here are the official SUPER GROM Winter dates for 2025🏆

You can register for any of the three events; however, for the overall championship rankings, the competitor who has participated in all 3 events most likely will have higher points in the circuit. At the end of all 3 events the champion of each division will be crowned.
Bing Surfboards was founded in 1959 by Bing Copeland in the South Bay of Los Angeles. The original storefront was right on the strand in Hermosa Beach. It was quite small, with about 15-20 boards in the showroom and the shaping rooms were in the back just behind the register. Back then we didn’t sell any type of clothing or accessories, just surfboards. We have never carried any big-box wetsuit brands. When we first learned about MANERA and its line of products, it seemed like a great fit for a wide range of consumers looking for high-quality wetsuits and accessories. We also appreciated the minimalist branding and clean color palette used on everything. Once we were shown the history and design process that MANERA has, it was a done deal. We knew they’d be great partners.”
The second round of “San O Sundays” is just around the corner, so mark your calendars! We’ll have over 20 boards to ride, pit crew @condorthefish and @greylockwoodphoto will be on hand to answer any questions and get you dialed, plus the whole thing is 100% FREE.
Sunday, February 23rd 7am – 12pm
First come first serve, must have a credit card & ID to shred.

MANERA AND DANE REYNOLDS ARE FOCUSED ON SUPPORTING SURF SHOPS.

Partnering with pro surfer and surf shop owner Dane Reynolds, Manera is doubling down on our mission to preserve the core surf retail community. As we move into 2025, our focus remains on fostering organic growth, deepening retail partnerships, and promoting sustainability. In an interview with Building the Revolution, Manera’s Sales and Marketing Manager, Austin Benke, discusses why the brand prioritizes surf shops, its plans for the future, and how it aims to uphold its values in an evolving industry.

What an amazing year we had in the F-One & MANERA community! We’re bubbling over with excitement over the new year and these 365 new days to create unforgettable salty memories. Bring on 2025!

Dane Reynolds needs no introduction in the surfing world. Born and bred in southern California, he is known for his “go for broke”, intuitive, progressive and explosive style, making him one of the most exciting and imaginative surfers today. Always following his intuition, everything he does has his own electric style, whether tearing down a wave or making surf films. MORE ABOUT DANE

“Scan the product” is a series of short videos explaining how we built our product ranges and their characteristics. Discover our neoprene range, featuring the Seafarer, X10D and MAGMA wetsuits.

Maxime Chabloz is the 2024 Kite Freestyle World Champion!
“I’m world champion, that’s all I can think of right now. It’s something I’ve been dreaming about since I discovered kiting. I think I was seven years old, and I wanted to be the best kiter in the world. It was my biggest dream in life, and it finally happened. It’s been such a journey. But the longer the journey, the sweeter the victory.“

Charles Brodel made history by being the first rider on a hydrofoil to compete in the Red Bull King of the Air 2024!
Charles was undoubtedly the talk of the town as he pushed the boundaries of Big Air kiteboarding, delivered massive tricks in epic conditions, and took on the runner-up of the event in round 3.
Justine Dupont participated in the Eddie Aikau Big Wave Invitational for the second time, held in Waimea Bay on December 22, charging massive waves and, at times, dealing with equally massive wipeouts. Justine was amongst the 10 waterwomen invited to this mythical big wave event.
“I’m happy that I went for it,” she said. “It was my goal to go on a big one. I couldn’t make the drop; I’m so bummed. I’ve never really wiped out on a big one paddling — but I did it during The Eddie Aikau. Next one I want to make it. It’s amazing to be part of this event.” – JD

Coming from an authentic surf family, Ian Fontaine has however managed to develop his own surfing style. His family instilled in him a love for the ocean and a passion for competition from a young age; both have never wavered. His brothers were his first coaches and without them, he would have likely ended up playing football.
Ian Fontaine continues to explore the coasts of his dear Brittany in the search of some wild spots and fun waves to tackle. And although the videos are in French, the language of surf is fairly universal!

Manera was proud to be apart of “All Spruced Up”, a film focused on highlighting a group of dedicated female surfers in the Pacific Northwest region. The PNW is known for beautiful scenery and empty waves, but that comes with the cost of harsh terrain and challenging wave conditions practically year round. These for women showcase what it means to be dedicated surfers on the Oregon coast. Manera worked with a new retail partner Nehalem Surf Shop to bring the local surf community together for a very special evening!
